My First Million

What a difference a week makes. Last week I was pondering what I would do with my first paycheck once I FINALLY get it. It will be for a couple thousand dollars, and since it's taking so long to get it, I made a list of all the bills that I would pay off. That is s-o-o-o last week. That was my poor people, day-to-day, Lord-just-help-me-make-it-to-the-end-of-the-month, way of thinking about money. But now that I'm on this one-year millionaire journey, I'm alread thinking about how I'm going to invest--not spend--my first million.

Honestly, a Bentley would be nice. So would platinum, rubies and diamonds. But instead of boats, cars, jewelry and rims, I see businesses, scholarship funds, a publishing company, and a non-profit agency in my future. I see my children's children continuing to build on what I'm building.

So tell me, what will you do with your first million?

I'm so with you on this. I see my first million as just the tip of the iceberg. It's the beginning and not the end. I plan to leverage it to create great change and to serve as a framework for my children to continue to capitalize on that growth.

My first million? Buy a neighborhood! That's always been my dream. To buy a block and then I'll invest and make the second. I want the financial freedom to do whatever I want to do!
